Muhammad ibn Bashshar told us: Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi told us: Ubaydullah ibn Umar told us, from Nafi, who said: Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz asked me about charity on honey. I replied: We have no honey from which to give charity, but al-Mughirah ibn Hakim informed us that he said no charity is due on honey. Umar said: “He is trustworthy and approved.” Then he wrote to the people that it should be waived for them.
