Sunan Abi Dawud 3919

Ahmad ibn Hanbal and Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us—the meaning is the same. They said: Wakiʿ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from ʿUrwah ibn ʿAmir—Ahmad said al-Qurashi—who said: Omens were mentioned in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: “The best of them is a good omen, and it does not turn a Muslim back. If one of you sees something he dislikes, let him say: «O Allah, none brings good things except You, none averts evil things except You, and there is no might or power except through You.»”
