Hafs ibn ʿUmar narrated to us: Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Abu Bishr, from Saʿid ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ʿAbbas: His maternal aunt gave the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ghee, desert monitor lizards, and aqit (dried curd). He ate some of the ghee and aqit, but left the lizards out of aversion. They were eaten at his dining spread; had they been unlawful, they would not have been eaten at the dining spread of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
