Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ الطَّائِيُّ، أَنَّ الْحَكَمَ بْنَ نَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَهُمْ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ ضَمْضَمِ بْنِ زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ الْحُبْرَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شِبْلٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ لَحْمِ الضَّبِّ .
Translation
Muhammad ibn ʿAwf al-Taʾi reported to us that al-Hakam ibn Nafiʿ narrated to them: Ibn ʿAyyash narrated to us, from Damdam ibn Zurʿah, from Shurayh ibn ʿUbayd, from Abu Rashid al-Hubrani, from ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Shibl, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade eating the meat of the desert monitor lizard.
