Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، عَنْ بَحِيرٍ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، خِيَارِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ الْبَصَلِ، فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ آخِرَ طَعَامٍ أَكَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم طَعَامٌ فِيهِ بَصَلٌ .
Translation
Ibrahim ibn Musa narrated to us, then the chain shifts. Haywah ibn Shurayh narrated to us: Baqiyyah narrated to us, from Bahir, from Khalid, from Abu Ziyad Khiyar ibn Salamah, who asked ʿAishah about onions. She said: “The last food the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate contained onions.”
