Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَا قُطِعَ مِنَ الْبَهِيمَةِ وَهِيَ حَيَّةٌ فَهِيَ مَيْتَةٌ " .
Translation
Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us: Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Dinar narrated to us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from 'Ata ibn Yasar, from Abu Waqid, who said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘Whatever is cut from a livestock animal while it is alive is carrion.’
