حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ أَسِيدِ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ الثَّقَفِيُّ، - وَهُوَ حَلِيفٌ لِبَنِي زُهْرَةَ - وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

'Amr ibn Abi Sufyan ibn Usayd ibn Jariyah al-Thaqafi—who was an ally of Banu Zuhrah and one of the companions of Abu Hurayrah—reported to me, and then he mentioned the hadith.
