حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، قَالَكَانَ شِعَارُ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَشِعَارُ الأَنْصَارِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ

Samurah ibn Jundub said: The watchword of the Muhajirun was 'Abd Allah, and the watchword of the Ansar was 'Abd al-Rahman.
