Sunan Abi Dawud 3878
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الْبَسُوا مِنْ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبَيَاضَ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ خَيْرِ ثِيَابِكُمْ وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ وَإِنَّ خَيْرَ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الإِثْمِدُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ " .
Ahmad ibn Yunus narrated to us: Zuhayr narrated to us: ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿUthman ibn Khuthaym narrated to us, from Saʿid ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ʿAbbas, who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Wear white among your garments, for they are among your best garments, and shroud your dead in them. The best of your kohl is ithmid, for it clears the eyesight and makes hair grow.”
