Sunan Abi Dawud 1204
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْمِسْحَاجِ بْنِ مُوسَى، قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ حَدِّثْنَا مَا، سَمِعْتَ مِنْ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . قَالَ كُنَّا إِذَا كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي السَّفَرِ فَقُلْنَا زَالَتِ الشَّمْسُ أَوْ لَمْ تَزُلْ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ثُمَّ ارْتَحَلَ .
Translation
Musaddad narrated to us: Abu Muʿawiyah narrated to us, from al-Mishhaj ibn Musa, who said: I said to Anas ibn Malik: ‘Tell us what you heard from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).’ He said: ‘When we were traveling with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), whether we said the sun had passed the meridian or not, he would pray the noon prayer and then set out.’
