Intercourse With Menstruating Women — Sunan Abi Dawud 266

Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah al-Bazzar narrated to us: Shurayk narrated to us, from Khusayf, from Miqsam, from Ibn Abbas, from the Prophet (may peace be upon him), who said: “If a man has intercourse with his wife while she is menstruating, he should give half a dinar in charity.” Abu Dawud said: Ali ibn Budhaimah narrated it similarly from Miqsam from the Prophet (may peace be upon him) as a mursal narration. Al-Awza'i narrated from Yazid ibn Abi Malik, from Abd al-Hamid ibn Abd al-Rahman, from the Prophet (may peace be upon him), who said: “I command him to give one-fifth of a dinar in charity.” And this is a mudhal (broken) narration.
