A Person Has Relations With Her Other Than Intercourse Sunan Abi Dawud 270
Abdullah ibn Maslamah narrated to us: Abdullah - meaning Ibn Umar ibn Ghanim - narrated to us, from Abdul Rahman - meaning Ibn Ziyad - from Umarah ibn Ghurab, that an aunt of his narrated to him that she asked Aishah, saying: "What about one of us who menstruates, while she and her husband have only a single bed?" She replied: "I will inform you of what the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did. He entered at night while I was menstruating, and he went to his place of prayer" - Abu Dawud said: meaning the place of prayer in her house - "and he did not leave until sleep overcame my eyes and the cold caused him pain. So he said: 'Draw close to me.' I said: 'I am menstruating.' He said: 'Even so, uncover your thighs.' So I uncovered my thighs, and he placed his cheek and his chest upon my thighs, and I leaned over him until he warmed up and slept."
