Concerning The Woman Who Has Istihadah, And (Those Scholars) Who Stated That She Should Leave The Prayer For The Number Of Days Which She Used To Menstruate — Sunan Abi Dawud 279

Qutaibah ibn Sa'id narrated to us: Al-Laith narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Ja'far, from 'Urak, from 'Urwah, from 'A'ishah, that Umm Habibah asked the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, about bleeding. 'A'ishah said: And I saw her tub full of blood. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to her: "Wait for the duration that your menses used to keep you, then perform ghusl." Abu Dawud said: Qutaibah narrated it among the strands of the hadith of Ja'far ibn Rabi'ah at the end of it, and it was narrated by 'Ali b. 'Ayyash and Yunus b. Muhammad from al-Laith, and they mentioned Ja'far ibn Rabi'ah.
