Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Abi al-Hajaj Abu Ma'mar narrated to us, Abd al-Warith narrated to us, from al-Husayn, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abu Salamah, who said: Zaynab daughter of Abu Salamah informed me that a woman whose blood flowed continuously — and she was the wife of Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf — had been commanded by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to perform ghusl for every prayer and to pray. And he informed me that Umm Bakr informed him that Aisha said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said regarding a woman who sees what she doubts after purification: "It is only a vein" or "or veins."
Abu Dawud said: In the narration of Ibn Aqil, both commands are mentioned together, and he said: "If you have the strength, perform ghusl for every prayer, and if not, then combine them," just as al-Qasim said in his narration. This statement has also been narrated from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ali and Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them.
