Translation
Narrated Hafsah, Ummul Mu'minin
Yazid ibn Khalid al-Rimli narrated to us: Al-Mufaddal—meaning ibn Fadalah—informed us, from Ayyash ibn Abbas, from Bukayr, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, from Hafsah, from the Prophet (ﷺ) who said: "Every person who has reached puberty must bathe on Friday, and whoever goes to the Friday prayer must perform ghusl."
Abu Dawud said: If a man takes a bath after the break of dawn, it suffices him for the ghusl of Friday, even if he is in a state of janabah.
