Praying In A Garment In Which He Has Engaged In Intercourse
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ حُدَيْجٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أُخْتَهُ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّي فِي الثَّوْبِ الَّذِي يُجَامِعُهَا فِيهِ فَقَالَتْ نَعَمْإِذَا لَمْ يَرَ فِيهِ أَذًى .
Translation
Narrated Umm Habibah
Isa ibn Hammad al-Masri narrated to us: Al-Layth informed us, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Suwayd ibn Qays, from Mu'awiyah ibn Hudayj, from Mu'awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan, that he asked his sister Umm Habibah, the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ): Did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) pray in the garment in which he has intercourse with her? She said: Yes, provided he did not see any impurity in it.
