Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنَا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلميُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا إِلَى جَنْبِهِ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَعَلَىَّ مِرْطٌ لِي وَعَلَيْهِ بَعْضُهُ .
Translation
'Aishah said
Uthman bin Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Waki bin al-Jarrah narrated to us, Talhah bin Yahya narrated to us, from Ubaydullah bin Abdullah bin Utbah, from Aisha, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) would pray at night while I was by his side and menstruating, with a mirt (wrap) of mine over me and part of it on him.
