A Child's Urine Splashes On A Garment
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسٍ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ، أَنَّهَا أَتَتْ بِابْنٍ لَهَا صَغِيرٍ لَمْ يَأْكُلِ الطَّعَامَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلمفَأَجْلَسَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي حِجْرِهِ فَبَالَ عَلَى ثَوْبِهِ فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَنَضَحَهُ وَلَمْ يَغْسِلْهُ .
Translation
Abdullah ibn Maslamah al-Qa'nabi narrated to us, from Malik, from Ibn Shihab, from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Utbah ibn Mas'ud, from Umm Qais bint Mihsan, that she came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, with a young son of hers who had not yet eaten food. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, placed him in his lap, and he urinated on his garment. So he called for water, sprinkled it over it, and did not wash it.
