حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، يَرْفَعُهُ قَالَ ‏"‏لَوْلاَ أَنْ أَشُقَّ، عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِتَأْخِيرِ الْعِشَاءِ وَبِالسِّوَاكِ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلاَةٍ ‏"

Narrated Abu Hurayrah

Qutaybah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah, reporting it from the Prophet (ﷺ), who said: "Were it not that I would impose hardship upon the believers, I would have commanded them to delay the 'Isha' prayer and to use the tooth-stick (siwak) at every prayer."
