It Is Dislikes To Face The Qiblah While Relieving Oneself Sunan Abi Dawud 8
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّمَا أَنَا لَكُمْ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْوَالِدِ أُعَلِّمُكُمْفَإِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمُ الْغَائِطَ فَلاَ يَسْتَقْبِلِ الْقِبْلَةَ وَلاَ يَسْتَدْبِرْهَا وَلاَ يَسْتَطِبْ بِيَمِينِهِ " . وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِثَلاَثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ وَيَنْهَى عَنِ الرَّوْثِ وَالرِّمَّةِ .
Translation
Narrated Abu Hurairah
Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Nufayli narrated to us, Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ajlan, from al-Qa'qa' ibn Hakim, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "I am to you like a father; I teach you. When any of you goes to the toilet, he must neither face the Qiblah nor turn his back towards it, and he must not clean himself with his right hand." And he used to command using three stones, and forbade using dung and bones.
