حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلْدَةَ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْعَالِيَةِعَنْ رَجُلٍ، أَصَابَتْهُ جَنَابَةٌ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدَهُ مَاءٌ وَعِنْدَهُ نَبِيذٌ أَيَغْتَسِلُ بِهِ قَالَ لاَ ‏.‏

Narrated Abu Khaldah

Muhammad ibn Bashshar told us, 'Abd al-Rahman told us, Abu Khaldah told us, saying: I asked Abu al-'Aliyah about a man who suffered from ritual impurity (janabah) while he had no water with him, but he had nabidh (date wine): Should he perform ghusl with it? He said, "No."
