حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الأَرْقَمِ، أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ حَاجًّا أَوْ مُعْتَمِرًا وَمَعَهُ النَّاسُ وَهُوَ يَؤُمُّهُمْ فَلَمَّا كَانَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ أَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ صَلاَةَ الصُّبْحِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِيَتَقَدَّمْ أَحَدُكُمْ ‏.‏ وَذَهَبَ إِلَى الْخَلاَءِ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏"‏إِذَا أَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ الْخَلاَءَ وَقَامَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْخَلاَءِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ رَوَى وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ وَشُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ وَأَبُو ضَمْرَةَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ وَالأَكْثَرُ الَّذِينَ رَوَوْهُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ قَالُوا كَمَا قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ

Narrated Abdullah ibn al-Arqam

Ahmad ibn Yunus narrated to us: Zuhayr narrated to us: Hisham ibn Urwah narrated to us, from his father, from Abdullah ibn al-Arqam, that he went out for Hajj or Umrah while the people were with him, and he was leading them in prayer. When it was a certain day, he established the prayer—the Fajr prayer—then said, "Let one of you step forward," and he went to relieve himself, saying, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'When any of you wants to go and relieve himself, and the prayer has been established, let him begin with relieving himself.'" Abu Dawud said: Wahb ibn Khalid, Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq, and Abu Damrah narrated this hadith from Hisham ibn Urwah, from his father, from a man who narrated to him, from Abdullah ibn al-Arqam, while the majority of those who narrated it from Hisham said as Zuhayr said.
