Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah al-Bazzar told us: Shuraik told us, from Abdullah ibn Isa, from Abdullah ibn Jabr, from Anas, who said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to perform ablution with a vessel holding two rotls, and take a bath with a sa'.
Abu Dawud said: Yahya ibn Adam narrated it from Shuraik, and said: From Ibn Jabr ibn Atik.
He said: Sufyan narrated it from Abdullah ibn Isa, saying: Jabr ibn Abdullah told me.
Abu Dawud said: Shu'bah narrated it, saying: Abdullah ibn Abdullah ibn Jabr told me: I heard Anas, except that he said: He performed ablution with a makkuk, and he did not mention two rotls.
Abu Dawud said: I heard Ahmad ibn Hanbal saying: The sa' is five rotls, and it is the sa' of Ibn Abi Dhi'b, and it is the sa' of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
