حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ لَقِيطِ بْنِ صَبْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، وَافِدِ بَنِي الْمُنْتَفِقِ، أَنَّهُ أَتَى عَائِشَةَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ ‏.‏ قَالَ فَلَمْ يَنْشَبْ أَنْ جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَتَقَلَّعُ يَتَكَفَّأُ ‏.‏ وَقَالَ عَصِيدَةٍ ‏.‏ مَكَانَ خَزِيرَةٍ ‏.‏

Laqit b. Sabirah reported that he was the leader of Banu’l-Muntafiq (name of a tribe). He came to ‘A’ishah. He then narrated the tradition in a similar manner. He said

Uqbah bin Mukram narrated to us: Yahya bin Sa'id narrated to us: Ibn Jurayj narrated to us: Isma'il bin Kathir narrated to me, from Asim bin Laqit bin Sabrah, from his father - the delegate of Banu Al-Muntafiq - that he came to Aishah and mentioned its meaning. He said: Shortly after, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came, walking with a quick pace, leaning forward. And Asim used the word 'asidah instead of khazirah.
