حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، - هُوَ الثَّوْرِيُّ - عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ الثَّقَفِيِّ، أَوِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلمإِذَا بَالَ يَتَوَضَّأُ وَيَنْتَضِحُ ‏.‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَافَقَ سُفْيَانَ جَمَاعَةٌ عَلَى هَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمُ الْحَكَمُ أَوِ ابْنُ الْحَكَمِ

Narrated Hakam ibn Sufyan ath-Thaqafi

Muhammad bin Kathir narrated to us: Sufyan—meaning al-Thawri—narrated to us, from Mansur, from Mujahid, from Sufyan bin al-Hakam al-Thaqafi (or al-Hakam bin Sufyan): The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to perform ablution and sprinkle water after urinating.

Abu Dawud said: A group agreed with Sufyan upon this chain of narrators, and some of them said: al-Hakam or the son of al-Hakam.
