حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلمقَبَّلَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ نِسَائِهِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ ‏.‏قَالَ عُرْوَةُ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا مَنْ هِيَ إِلاَّ أَنْتِ فَضَحِكَتْ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ زَائِدَةُ وَعَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ الْحِمَّانِيُّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَعْمَشِ ‏.‏

'Aishah reported

Uthman bin Abi Shaybah narrated to us: Waki' narrated to us: Al-A'mash narrated to us, from Habib, from Urwah, from Aishah, that the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) kissed one of his wives and then went out to prayer without performing ablution. Urwah said: I said to her, "Who could she be except you?" and she laughed. Abu Dawud said: Zaidah and Abdul-Hamid al-Himani reported it similarly from Sulaiman al-A'mash.
