حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ النَّمَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُدْرِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُجَىٍّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، - رضى الله عنه - عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ "لاَ تَدْخُلُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ صُورَةٌ وَلاَ كَلْبٌ وَلاَ جُنُبٌ "
Translation
Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib
Hafs ibn Umar al-Namiri narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Ali ibn Mudrik, from Abu Zur'ah ibn Amr ibn Jarir, from Abdullah ibn Nujayy, from his father, from Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) who said: "The angels do not enter a house in which there is an image, nor a dog, nor a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub)."
