حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَفْلَتُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي جَسْرَةُ بِنْتُ دِجَاجَةَ، قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ، رضى الله عنها تَقُولُ جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَوُجُوهُ بُيُوتِ أَصْحَابِهِ شَارِعَةٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ وَجِّهُوا هَذِهِ الْبُيُوتَ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَلَمْ يَصْنَعِ الْقَوْمُ شَيْئًا رَجَاءَ أَنْ تَنْزِلَ فِيهِمْ رُخْصَةٌ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِمْ بَعْدُ فَقَالَ ‏"‏وَجِّهُوا هَذِهِ الْبُيُوتَ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَإِنِّي لاَ أُحِلُّ الْمَسْجِدَ لِحَائِضٍ وَلاَ جُنُبٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَهُوَ فُلَيْتٌ الْعَامِرِيُّ

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin

Musaddad narrated to us, 'Abd al-Wahhid ibn Ziyad narrated to us, Aflat ibn Khalifah narrated to us, saying: Jusrah bint Dijajah narrated to me, saying: I heard 'Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her, saying: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came while the doors of the houses of his Companions were opening into the mosque. He said: "Turn these houses away from the mosque." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) entered, and the people did not do anything, hoping that a concession might be revealed regarding it. He then came out to them later and said: "Turn these houses away from the mosque, for I do not make the mosque lawful for a menstruating woman nor for one in a state of major ritual impurity." Abu Dawud said: He is Fulayt al-'Amiri.
