Ahmad ibn Salih narrated to us: Anbasah narrated to us: Yunus narrated to us: from Ibn Shihab, who said: Urwah narrated from Aisha that Umm Sulaim the Ansariyyah—who was the mother of Anas ibn Malik—said: "O Messenger of Allah, indeed Allah is not shy of the truth. Is it necessary for a woman to perform ghusl if she sees in a dream what a man sees?" Aisha said: So the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Yes, let her perform ghusl if she finds water." Aisha said: I turned to her and said: "Fie upon you! Does a woman see that?" The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, turned to me and said: "May your right hand be covered in dust, O Aisha! From where else would the resemblance come?"
Abu Dawud said: Aqeel, Az-Zubaidi, Yunus, the nephew of Az-Zuhri, and Ibrahim ibn Abi Al-Wazir narrated it similarly from Malik from Az-Zuhri. Musafi' Al-Hajabi agreed with Az-Zuhri, saying from Urwah from Aisha. As for Hisham ibn Urwah, he narrated from Urwah from Zainab bint Abi Salamah from Umm Salamah that Umm Sulaim came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
