حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، أَنَّهُمْ ذَكَرُوا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْغُسْلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏أَمَّا أَنَا فَأُفِيضُ عَلَى رَأْسِي ثَلاَثًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَأَشَارَ بِيَدَيْهِ كِلْتَيْهِمَا ‏.‏

Jubair b. Mut’im reported

Abdullah bin Muhammad ar-Nufayli narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, Abu Ishaq narrated to us, Sulayman bin Surad informed me, from Jubayr bin Mut'im, that they mentioned the bathing due to sexual defilement (janabah) in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "As for me, I pour water over my head three times," and he gestured with both his hands.
