Translation
Narrated Ubayd ibn Firuz
I asked Al-Bara' ibn 'Azib: What is not permissible regarding sacrificial animals? He said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood among us, and my fingers are shorter than his fingers, and my fingertips are shorter than his fingertips. He said: Four are not permissible in sacrificial animals: the one-eyed animal whose blindness is obvious, the sick animal whose sickness is obvious, the lame animal whose limp is obvious, and the broken-boned animal that has no marrow.
He said: I said: Indeed, I dislike that there should be a defect in the teeth. He said: What you dislike, leave it, but do not make it forbidden for anyone.
Abu Dawud said: It has no marrow.
