Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي رِزْمَةَ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ أَبُو الْمُنِيبِ الْعَتَكِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَعَلَ لِلْجَدَّةِ السُّدُسَ إِذَا لَمْ تَكُنْ دُونَهَا أُمٌّ .
Translation
Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Abi Rizmah narrated to us: My father informed me: 'Ubayd Allah Abu al-Munib al-'Ataki narrated to us, from Ibn Buraydah, from his father, that the Prophet (ﷺ) assigned a grandmother one-sixth if there was no mother nearer [to the deceased] than her.
