Yazid ibn Hurmuz reported that during the pilgrimage in the time of the turmoil of Ibn al-Zubayr, Najdah al-Haruri sent to Ibn ‘Abbas to ask who was entitled to the share for close relatives. Ibn ‘Abbas replied that it belonged to the relatives of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, to whom the Messenger had distributed it. ‘Umar once offered them a portion that they considered less than their due, so they returned it and refused to accept it.

The disputed share is the share for close relatives from the fifth.
The report says ‘Umar offered them an amount they considered less than their right; it does not quantify the offer.
Should this remain an attributed claim without explaining how their due share was calculated?
