حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، حَدَّثَنِي سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ بُشَيْرِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ، قَالَ قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَيْبَرَ نِصْفَيْنِ نِصْفًا لِنَوَائِبِهِ وَحَاجَتِهِ وَنِصْفًا بَيْنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ قَسَمَهَا بَيْنَهُمْ عَلَى ثَمَانِيَةَ عَشَرَ سَهْمًا .

Sahl ibn Abi Hathmah said: The Messenger of Allah divided Khaybar into two halves: one for his contingencies and needs, and one for the Muslims. He divided the latter among them into eighteen shares.
