حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْقُرَشِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ذَيَّالُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي جَدِّي حَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ حِذْيَمٍ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَرَأَيْتُهُ جَالِسًا مُتَرَبِّعًا.

Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr related to us: Muhammad ibn ‘Uthman al-Qurashi related to us: Dhayyal ibn ‘Ubayd ibn Hanzalah related to us: My grandfather, Hanzalah ibn Hudhaym, told me: I came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and saw him sitting cross-legged.
