حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ الْهَادِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ: لاَ تَتْرُكُوا النَّارَ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ، فَإِنَّهَا عَدُوٌّ.

Ibn Abi Maryam related to us: Nafi‘ ibn Yazid informed us: Ibn al-Had related to me: Nafi‘ related to me, from Ibn ‘Umar, who heard the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, say: ‘Do not leave a fire burning in your houses, for it is an enemy.’
