Muhammad ibn al-‘Ala’ related to us: Hammad ibn Usamah related to us, from Burayd ibn ‘Abd Allah, from Abu Burdah, from Abu Musa, who said: A house in Madinah burned down at night with its occupants inside. This was reported to the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he said: ‘This fire is your enemy, so when you go to sleep, extinguish it around you.’
