Translation

Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us; Ghundar narrated to us; Shu'bah narrated to us, saying: I heard Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, who said: I heard Jabir ibn 'Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) say: When my father was killed, I began uncovering the cloth from his face while weeping. People were stopping me from doing so, but the Prophet (ﷺ) did not stop me. My aunt Fatimah began weeping, and the Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘Whether you weep or do not weep, the angels continued to shade him with their wings until you lifted him.’

Ibn Jurayj corroborated him: Ibn al-Munkadir informed me that he heard Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him).
