The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "A Muslim whose three children die before the age of puberty will be granted Paradise by Allah due to his mercy for them." (Sahih al-Bukhari 1248, Book: Funerals - Al-Janaa'iz)

Commentary on the Divine Promise

This noble hadith contains immense glad tidings for believing parents who endure the trial of losing multiple children. The scholars explain that this divine promise applies specifically to children who die before reaching the age of legal responsibility (bulugh), as they are considered pure and free from sin.

The phrase "due to his mercy for them" indicates that Allah's reward stems from His infinite compassion toward both the deceased children and the grieving parent. The parent's patience and acceptance of divine decree, coupled with the children's innocence, become means for this great recompense.
