Prophet’s (saws) dealing with the people of Khaibar
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَأَعْطَى النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَيْبَرَ الْيَهُودَ أَنْ يَعْمَلُوهَا وَيَزْرَعُوهَا، وَلَهُمْ شَطْرُ مَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا.
Translation
Narrated `Abdullah
The Prophet (ﷺ) gave (the land of) Khaibar to the Jews (of Khaibar) on condition that they would work on it and cultivate it and they would have half of its yield.
