Sahih al-Bukhari 3096
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يَقْتَسِمُ وَرَثَتِي دِينَارًا، مَا تَرَكْتُ بَعْدَ نَفَقَةِ نِسَائِي وَمَئُونَةِ عَامِلِي فَهْوَ صَدَقَةٌ ".
Translation
ʿAbd Allah ibn Yusuf narrated to us: Malik informed us, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-Aʿraj, from Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “My heirs shall not divide even a single dinar. Whatever I leave after the expenses of my wives and the maintenance of my worker is charity.”
