Ibn Abi Maryam narrated to us: Nafiʿ narrated to us: I heard Ibn Abi Mulayka say: ʿAʾisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Prophet (ﷺ) died in my house, during my allotted day, between my chest and my throat, and Allah joined my saliva with his saliva. She said: ʿAbd al-Rahman came in with a tooth-stick. The Prophet (ﷺ) was too weak to use it, so I took it, chewed it, and then cleaned his teeth with it.
