Al-Layth also said: Jafar ibn Rabia told me, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Hurmuz, from Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he mentioned a man from the Children of Israel who went out to sea and attended to his need. He then related the rest of the hadith. Abdullah ibn Salih told me: al-Layth told me this same report.
