Musaddad narrated to us: Khalid—meaning Ibn Abd Allah—narrated to us: Khalid narrated to us, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, who said: “The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was cupped and paid the person who cupped him. Had it been forbidden, he would not have paid him.”
