Adam narrated to us: Shuaba narrated to us: Abu Bakr ibn Hafs narrated to us, from Salim ibn Abd Allah ibn Umar, from his father, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sent Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, a silk garment—or a striped brocade garment. He saw him wearing it and said, “I did not send it to you so that you would wear it. Only one who has no share wears it. I sent it to you so that you could benefit from it.” That is, sell it.
