Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ الطَّعَامَ مُجَازَفَةً يُضْرَبُونَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يَبِيعُوهُ حَتَّى يُئْوُوهُ إِلَى رِحَالِهِمْ.
Translation
Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated to us: al-Walid ibn Muslim informed us, from al-Awzai, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from his father, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: I saw those who bought food in bulk, without measuring it, being beaten in the time of the Messenger of Allah for selling it before they had brought it to their homes.
