Arabic hadith text
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو اَلْقَاسِمِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ لَوْ أَنَّ اِمْرَأً اِطَّلَعَ عَلَيْكَ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنٍ, فَحَذَفْتَهُ بِحَصَاةٍ, فَفَقَأْتَ عَيْنَهُ, لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَيْكَ جُنَاحٌ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 . وَفِي لَفْظٍ لِأَحْمَدَ, وَالنَّسَائِيِّ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ حِبَّانَ: { فَلَا دِيَةَ لَهُ وَلَا قِصَاصَ } . 2 .1 - صحيح رواه البخاري (6902)، ومسلم (2158).2 - صحيح رواه أحمد (243)، والنسائي (8 /61). وابن حبان (5972).
Translation
Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said
“If anyone spies on you (tries to look at you) without your permission, and you thereupon throw a stone at him and because of it he lost his eye, you are not to be bIamed.” Agreed upon. In another version by Ahmad and an-Nasa'i and graded as Sahih by Ibn Hibban, “He has no right for Diyah or Qisas.”
