Bulugh al-Maram 745
Arabic hadith text
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا: { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -لَمَّا جَاءَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ دَخَلَهَا مِنْ أَعْلَاهَا, وَخَرَجَ مِنْ أَسْفَلِهَا } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 .1 - صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 1577 )، ومسلم ( 1258 ). وأعلاها: طريق الحجون، وأسفلها: طريق باب الشبيكة مرورا بجرول.
Translation
‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Mecca, he entered it from its upper side and left from its lower side. Agreed upon.
1 — Sound. Reported by al-Bukhari (1577) and Muslim (1258). The upper approach was the route through al-Hajun; the lower approach was the route by Bab al-Shubaykah, passing through Jurul.
