Bulugh al-Maram 754
Arabic hadith text
وَعَنْ اِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: { بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -فِي اَلثَّقَلِ, أَوْ قَالَ فِي اَلضَّعَفَةِ مِنْ جَمْعٍ 1 بِلَيْلٍ } 2 .1 - أي: من مزدلفة.2 - صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 1856 )، ومسلم ( 1293 ) واللفظ لمسلم.
Translation
Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me at night with the baggage train—or he said, with the vulnerable people—from Jam‘¹. [Hadith grading:] Sound. Reported by al-Bukhari (1856) and Muslim (1293); the wording is Muslim’s.
1 — That is, from Muzdalifah.
