Bulugh al-Maram 762
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ - رضى الله عنه - { أَنَّهُ جَعَلَ اَلْبَيْتَ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ, وَمِنًى عَنْ يَمِينِهِ, وَرَمَى اَلْجَمْرَةَ بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ 1 وَقَالَ: هَذَا مَقَامُ اَلَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ اَلْبَقَرَةِ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ. 2 .1 - تحرف في " أ " إلى: " حصاة ".2 - صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 1749 )، ومسلم ( 1296 ) ( 307 ).
‘Abd Allah ibn Mas‘ud (may Allah be pleased with him) placed the House to his left and Mina to his right, then threw seven pebbles at the Jamrah and said: ‘This is where the one to whom Surat al-Baqarah was revealed stood.’ Agreed upon.
1 — In manuscript A, this is corrupted to the singular ‘pebble.’ 2 — Sound. Reported by al-Bukhari (1749) and Muslim (1296, 307).
